"Lay Mai Khao Seafood Restaurant offers a truly lovely dining experience. The location is a major plus—situated right next to the sea, where the sound of the waves crashing provides a beautiful and serene backdrop. The food was excellent and the portions are incredibly generous. We loved the legitimately spicy Tom Yum Goong, the perfectly fried calamari, and the hearty Omelette Prawn. A standout was the local vegetable dish (a slightly bitter green) which was simple but so tasty. Service was attentive and friendly, and the complimentary fruit platter at the end was a nice touch. My only very minor suggestion would be for the coconuts to be served a bit colder. Despite that, it was a fantastic meal. Highly recommend for great value, fresh seafood, and that amazing ocean view."

"We have been having excellent meals at this restaurant while staying at the Marriott Vacation Club. The food has been wonderful - very fresh seafood and very tasty all around. We had the whole fish fried with garlic with Thai chili sauce on the side - this was the highlight of the meal each time. The green chicken curry and the red beef curry were both delicious, as was the tom yum gung and tamarind prawns. We loved the papaya salad as well. K Nok and her team are lovely - excellent service, they took great care of us. The restaurant is at the end of the strip on the left of the JW Marriott resort. You can get beautiful sunsets as you enjoy your dinner. We would strongly recommend and will be back every time we are at the Club / resort"

"I had lunch with my family and friends at this restaurant. It's a lot to say...restaurant, but….. We left the hotel for a walk on the beach and saw this place, and the very kind lady invited us to dinner and we accepted. We were a little skeptical, but we ordered. And we had a great time. The food is very good and cheap. I recommend it. Pleasant atmosphere right next to the sea, on the beach."

"You HAVE to come here for the most DELICIOUS and AUTHENTIC Thai food. We came back here 3 times and were blown away - and even wished we’d come more!. It’s a rustic, family run place which is extremely reasonably priced for delicious fresh fish & seafood."

"Great find and within walking distance from Anantara Vacation Club which is a win. Service from the staff was great and they had an excellent attitude. Food was amazing and seafood was fresh! The highlight for us was the beef massaman curry, seafood curry cooked in young coconut. The sound of the waves, fresh wind and the sunset views made it very relaxing. Worth the walk! Will be back again."

"Would not say the food here is the best but its decent and convenient for those living in the area. The eating experience can be called 'rustic'. Portions are big but its mainly filled up with vegetables, most of the dishes we ordered were light on the protein, such as the seafood tom yum goong and the stir fried chicken with ginger. Overall an ok place to eat if you want something different from the hotel restaurants around. Their fresh coconuts are amazing though!"
